Our company recently announced a landmark achievement
of surpassing one million registrants in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and
Bankers Committee sponsored Bank Verification Number (BVN) project.
The financial sector biometric project is being
implemented by Chams Plc in partnership with Dermalog Identification Systems, a global bio-payments firm. Bank customers who have registered for the
Bank Verification Number will be identified by the unique number and will have
improved access to
a range of secure, convenient and high quality financial products and services
such as savings, credit, insurance, payments and pension, which were earlier
difficult without a proper identification and verification process.
