3 Big Lessons From Our Annual Valentines' Day Reception

So last week was Valentines' Day and we didn't carry last at Chams Plc. Even though it fell on a weekend, it didn't deter us from holding our annual get-together. The atmosphere was thick with love - love for the mouth-watering cupcakes and drinks maybe.

It could have been the excitement from all the activities which preceded the reception party perhaps it was the anticipation of all the expected gifts that had us in cloud 9 by the time the party began. Earlier in the month, we got to pick a mystery valentine partner to gift special items before the reception party. During the week, there were a series of Treasure Card Hunts in strategic parts of the office, even the MD and DMD's offices weren't left out. Finders were to present the cards at the party in exchange for a gift.

The party kicked off with a speech from the head of Strategy & Corporate Planning, Lolade Awogbade, she commended everyone for taking part in the process and obeying the rules of the game. (Lesson 1)

Our Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Olufemi Williams took over from her and urged everyone to show love everyday of the year and not just on Valentines' day but everyday of the year. (Lesson 2)

The Treasure Hunt winners presented their cards and received their gifts.

Our Managing Director, Mr. Demola Aladekomo, emphasized the importance of sharing love with strangers and the less privileged in the society. That was really apt! (Lesson 3).

A round of applause to the guys who stuck to the dress code

We wonder what SOW was saying to them...
We hope you enjoyed the recap, we are already looking forward to Valentines' day next year :)

Valentine’s day is a special day for everyone and already have made plans for the day. Have booked one of LA venues where my friend threw her wedding reception party as was very happy with their service and like the venue a lot.
